Before Optimised Office, I spent more than two decades in a mix of industries and jobs, which taught me how businesses really tick, and how often the software gets left to catch up. Much of that time was in-house, across administration, executive support, membership project management and operations leadership, so I know what it’s like to be the one trying to make the systems work. I’ve been the person wrestling the spreadsheet at 4pm on a Friday, and the one chasing approvals nobody remembers asking for.

Along the way, I got more and more frustrated. It could take forever to get heard when a process clearly needed to change, and training was too often a box-ticking exercise rather than something that actually helped people. So eventually I stopped grumbling and started doing it differently. I’ve been working alongside businesses for the last six years, and it turns out being the fresh pair of eyes is a bit of a superpower. When you’ve lived inside a process for years, it’s hard to see where it’s got tangled. When you walk in from the outside, the knots tend to wave at you.

Microsoft 365 and AI are where I spend a lot of my time, but I’m just as happy looking across whatever systems and processes your business runs on to find what genuinely fits. I’ll roll up my sleeves wherever you need me, whether that’s training your team from their own desks, tidying up your systems, or building the automation that quietly saves everyone’s Tuesday afternoon, and I’ll stick around after, because a good relationship doesn’t end when the training does.
